WINDSUN FIRE N ICE takes a key drop and gets a driver change...SANDRI HANOVER made two moves and pushed a quick pace, held the place; one to beat...MICHAEL'S JEWEL wired similar and has done well at this level...HAMMER doesn't win often but drops and has had post 7 in last three starts.

One pick on Wednesday, a nice 7-2 winner that keyed a $43.60 exacta and $230 trifecta.

SMOKIN N GRINNIN showed early speed then raced uncovered in last at the Meadowlands and held well; ships in for good barn and can upset...REAL JOY is 0 for 21 this year but takes a key drop and may try to go down the road...KEYSTONE KATHERINE ships in from Yonkers, drops, and gets top driver...MIKAYLA ROSE missed by a neck against a weaker field at this level two back then was in too tough last start.

Hot streak continues. One pick on Thursday, cold exacta, cold trifecta.

RACE 6

ALBERT STREET A classy veteran showed speed at the Meadowlands and weakened in a race he may have needed after missing a start; returns to a more speed favoring track, won at this level last month, and 34 time winner meets a pretty weak field here.

One pick on Monday and it went off at 6-1 and finished 2nd, and we had the exacta and trifecta box. The exacta was a fantastic price for this combination. This shows how my personal odds line can help you win. I made African Queen 8-5, she went off at 6-1. I made Hearts N Flowers 3-1, she went off at 8-1. The bettors over bet the 4 down to 1-2 odds.

RACE 5

AFRICAN QUEEN set fast paces in last two starts here and was 2nd best; barely gets in under the earnings cap and may be too quick for these...HEPBURN BLUE CHIP showed improvement recently, ships back in and raced okay at this level previously...HEARTS N FLOWERS gets good spot for a trip...MICKEY BLU picks up Sears.

I've been on a pretty good roll here lately. Yesterday I had one pick and it won and paid $9.00 at Tioga.

RACE 7

DREAM OF WINNING made two moves setting a quick pace in last at the Meadows and held nicely in her second start of her 3yo season; versatile filly doesn't need to leave to be effective and may take back and rally off what figures to be a hot pace in this stakes race. 

I gave out one horse on Wednesday and he went wire to wire and paid $7.60.

RACE 15

CLASSICAL MAN classy veteran trotter had post 8 against tougher, was parked the mile without cover in a fast race and excusably tired after getting within 2 lengths of the leader through a hot pace for this type; drops, gets better spot, can wire these.

I gave out one horse Friday (see below) at the Meadowlands and got a nice $7.40 on a horse that I made 7-5 odds on my personal betting line.

KISSMATT is not having a good year but added lasix for the qualifier and held surprisingly well in a fast race behind two monsters....SHANGHAI LIL missed by a nose at 4-5; classy 6 year old.

We gave out two picks on Sunday and hit two exactas (top 2 box) that both paid great prices of $38.20 and $37.60 (see below)

RACE 8

TIDEWATER TEDDY had post 7 in last at Yonkers and was parked to the lead in :27.1 over an off track, set the pace and lost by 2 1/2 lengths; speed wasn't holding that well last week at Yonkers so it was a sharp effort; can wire these with top gate driver Yannick Gingras...PICTURE ME comes down the ladder and picks up Tetrick.

RACE 8

FOXY LADY was parked the mile without cover from post 9 prompting a quick pace and only lost by 2 lengths in a game effort; call for the Burke barn...FAROUCHE HANOVER had pace on both ends to finish 2 lengths in front of top pick in last.

Trotpicks had a big day on Wednesday, March 21. I gave out two picks, they both won at good prices and in both races I had the trifectas and they paid $369.20 and $96.60. See the payoffs below.

SAYWHATUNEEDTOSAY went a couple of deceptively good races at Yonkers in December then raced okay at Woodbine, has since been transferred to the high-percentage Burke barn and comes off two sharp qualifiers...YOGI HANOVER comes off the best effort of his career, a pacesetting narrow miss in a 1:52.4 mile last week; if he puts two good efforts together he may be tough...NO OIL PAINT lacked a rally off a cover trip in Yogi Hanover's quick mile last week...IN FRONT CHARLIE chased the pace in the same race and held well from the pocket.

RACE 7

MAXINE THE MIGHTY came off a layoff and made a nice first over move before flattening out in the stretch with her trainer in the bike last time; trotting mare is 0 for 10 lifetime but there are no world beaters here and she gets a big driver change to a top catch driver for the first time in her career. Upset call...AMERONICA set the pace at 3-5 odds and held the place with no excuse in last but she is a bit more advanced than these, has been first or second in last 6 starts, one to catch for Palone...ITSGHOSTLYOUTSIDE broke at the start in last but she won her two prior starts over the track.

WESTERN AVENUE gets a big driver change...VILLAGE RHYTHM had a tough spot in last, adds lasix and moves inside, big shot here...HAGI did not have a great trip in a quick mile, can improve....DA VISION OF ART got a perfect trip to beat similar at 50-1.

RACE 8

RUN ON LUCK had to go wide around a breaker on the first turn and was rushed to the lead, set the pace and tired in a race she needed...SUMMER HOPE left and also was wide around a breaker then shuffled in tight quarters last week...BLING has been facing tougher at Yonkers; classy but big track form is hard to gauge.

Pretty competitive race but OBJECT OF ART is the class of the field. Last start he dropped to this level but tried to quarter move and got parked out forcing a fast pace; another shot.

RACE 11

SHADOWS DREAM faced tougher at Yonkers, was third over in local debut, followed cover three wide around the final bend and finished strongly for the show; drops, picks up Brett Miller...PURE DEFIANCY was first over and tired badly in last but drops to level that he won at three starts back and gets a key driver change to Palone...AK'S LIVIN LARGE set a hot clip under pressure and held the place in a game effort last start; steps up...SIGN OF AQUARIUS drops off a race he may have needed after a sick scratch.

RACE 8

CROWN HEIGHTS set a fast pace under pressure and finished third losing by a head against a tougher field than this at this level; gets a nice spot in the 2nd tier and should be able to brush to the lead and take off. The rest of the field is hard to gauge.

One pick Saturday night (Feb. 4), a nice 5-1 Best Bet winner that keyed a good paying $92.00 exacta. 

Thursday, February 2

One spot play last night and it turned out to be a good one, a trifecta key horse that won and keyed a whopping $672.20 trifecta, excellent price for a 2-1 shot on top. Note that I made Take A Walk 8-5 on my line (she was 9-2 on the ML) with a big spread to the next ranked odds of 5-1, an indication that I felt she was potentially much the best. One of the ways that you can make betting decisions when looking at my picks is by looking at my odds line. 

Wednesday, December 28

Nice one last night, one pick and it won and paid $26.00. Note that I made the horse 5-1 on my line.

S F STAMPEDE returned off a freshening and had post 7, rocketed out of the gate and was 3 deep around the first turn, took the lead at the quarter in :27.1, set a blazing pace and tired badly and excusably; moves inside for 2nd start off the bench and may go all the way...KOLLATERAL DAMAGE takes a key drop to the bottom condition, gets a better post and a top driver; one to beat...TEEN TURO rarely wins but he closed well with leading driver Dan Noble in last...MISTER MICAH showed nothing in last but he may have needed the start off the layoff and takes a key drop.

Monday, December 19

Very good start of the week. After going one for one on Sunday, came back with three for three on Monday, four winners in a row. In two of the races I had the trifecta including the 7th at The Meadows, a COLD trifecta (see results below). FRONTIER left and yielded and was shuffled into the lane losing valuable position, finished evenly once clear; two back was a sharp placing from post 7. Gets a key driver change to Brett Miller and may go all the way...CAPTAIN GREG has won 6 in a row and steps up off a claim by a live barn while luring Dave Palone off a Burke horse...M A ROY was first over and just missed against similar; hard to knock...LENNY K ran down similar in last but loses Brett Miller to top pick and moves outside.

SAN ANTONY-O went evenly from post 6 in a much faster field; speedy sort drops, gets good spot...YANKEE DEVIL finished 2nd to classy Giddy Up Delight in last and two back he chased classy Delivered From Zin; he's 0 for 22 this year but takes a key drop here and is a threat...THEBESTOFJOEL makes third start for the Burke barn, drops and can improve...IDEAL CHOICE showed improved speed in last, steps up and picks up leading driver.

JOYFULJOY N showed speed leaving but was shuffled out of contention behind a tiring horse as the beaten favorite; drops, draws inside of main rivals...PERFECT M FOREVER had post 8 in last at Harrington, ships in for good barn and drops out of the Open...MID-WESTERN JATELO drops for top connections...MS MALICOUS 3yo filly faces older here but she's been racing well.

Big Saturday night last night, Saturday, Oct. 15. I gave out 4 picks, one was scratched, which left the three listed below, which all won. Pacific Desperado won easily and paid $4.40. Shotgun A won easily and and paid $9.20 and the 5-3 exacta paid $33.00, Tyler Palko won and paid $19.00 and I had the $72.20 exacta COLD.
